What is our position on sustainable packaging?

We all agree, we must ensure that the environment is better maintained. Brada Verpakkingen takes pollution very seriously. We respond (pro)actively to all legislation related to making packaging more sustainable. With this approach, we try to convert this threat into new opportunities. We are happy to contribute to a solution for environmental pollution. For ourselves, but certainly also for the next generations to come.

What are we already doing about sustainable packaging?

We offer you a sustainable range. We currently comply with all alternatives that are offered. Consider products made from sugarcane, wood, and PP plastics. We are also working daily on developing recirculating vacuum films. What do we believe in? Brada Verpakkingen believes in recirculating packaging. Recirculating packaging is packaging that is recycled and reused. It means that an old product can be used 100% for a new product. This ensures that factories need to produce less and less new plastic. Almost all plastic packaging is currently recyclable, which is great! After recycling this plastic, recyclate is created. However, the problem now is that this recyclate is not being used enough. Recycled storage at recycling companies is slowly filling up. At Brada Verpakkingen, we believe it is important that these materials are used for new products, so that this process becomes circular. Recycling alone is not enough. Even more importantly, these recycled materials will be reused. This means less new plastic needs to be produced. "Regular" plastic is extracted using petroleum. It's important to minimize petroleum use as much as possible. This isn't happening enough yet. Less than 10% of all the artificial eyes we use are made from recycled plastic. We support products made from this recycled material.
